Gary was raised on the banks of the Colorado River in western Arizona. He fell in love with rodeo as a child, watching cowboys compete when the Rodeo came to Laughlin NV. After serving 9 years in the Marine Corps, he started announcing gymkhanas and play days, working his way up to full size rodeos in front of thousands of people.
